We fix small leaks before they become big messes. According to the Maine Emergency Management Agency, a crack 1/8 inch wide in a pipe can release up to 250 gallons of water a day, enough to ruin floors, rugs, and furniture.

Every winter here, we see frozen pipes and worn-out boilers and water heaters. State Line Plumbing and Heating works on homes and light commercial buildings in Hampstead, NH, and the towns around it. State Line is a local company that answers its own calls and texts.
Licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We work on both sides of the state line. We are licensed in both states, so we work the same way in Haverhill and in Hampstead.
One number for calls and texts. Call or text 978-208-9914. Text us to send photos of the job, like the leak or the label on your water heater.
Locally owned. State Line is locally owned. The owners work in the business; not owned by private equity.
Plumbing and heating in one place. We handle water heaters, drains, sewer lines, boilers, heat pumps, and mini splits.
Common plumbing problems we fix: no hot water, slow or clogged drains, sewer backups, leaks and burst pipes, toilet clogs and leaks, leaky faucets, a broken garbage disposal, a wet basement, frozen outdoor faucets, and water with an odd taste or smell. We also install water heaters, toilets, showers, sump pumps, and water filtration systems, and we test water.
Signs a water heater is near the end: the water is not as hot as it was, the tank leaks at the base, or the hot water comes out rusty. We size the new water heater and match the fuel type to your home. We also cover the venting, the shutoff valves, and the relief valve.
Signs of a problem in the main line: gurgling drains, sewage smells, or water backing up into a floor drain. We find where the line is broken or blocked, then we fix only the bad section.
Signs you need drain cleaning: standing water in a sink or tub, or repeat clogs in the same drain. We clear the whole clog and check why it formed.
No heat in January means a cold house and a risk of frozen pipes. We work on heating and plumbing, so one local company handles both.
A heating contractor solves these problems: no heat, rooms that stay cold, a boiler you have to restart again and again, and high fuel bills from an old boiler. We install and repair boilers for homes and light commercial buildings.
We hook up gas boilers the right way. We install oil, gas, propane, wall-hung, combi, and high-efficiency boiler systems. We also install wall-hung combi boilers for heat and hot water in one unit, on the wall and off a small basement floor.
Good uses for a heat pump or ductless mini split: an addition, a finished attic, a sunroom, a room over the garage, or any room that stays cold in winter. A mini split needs no ductwork, so we can add heat to one room without opening walls for ducts. Each room has its own temperature control. Heat only the rooms in use. We install both, and we size the setup to the space and to how the home is built.
Know where your main shutoff is
Find the main water shutoff valve before you need it. If a pipe bursts, close that valve to stop the water, then call us.
We also fix leaks and pipes, install and repair sump pumps, set new toilets and showers, repair faucets and garbage disposals, install water filtration systems, test water, and fix outdoor plumbing. Hot water storage tanks, water heater repair, and tankless water heater repair are on the list too.
